  2. Meghan. Great video! The high energy music and fast paced video make this tool seem really exciting. I wonder how this Web 2.0 tool might work in a non-traditional setting like Science or Math. I am going to dive in and see what characters are available. Some of the text was hard to read because it was white and blended in with the background but it was minor. Did you compose the music with just the default garage band loops? Thanks for sharing. I'd write more but I have to go and try DFILM.COM now.

  3. Yes, I used garageband iLife sounds that appear in iMovie, I didn't use loops. Thanks for the comment! Unfortunately, I REALLY wanted to use those text templates, and they WOULDN'T change from white to another color! Let me know if you or anyone has a way to change that! The text and characters are somewhat limited, but it's a simple way to do a dialogue or story line.

  4. How Fun! I think I used a site like this years ago, but I never could remember the name. It looks like they've kept it up-to-date with new characters and options. I'm glad you shared this. I really think it is the same site and I was miffed at myself for forgetting what it was called. Good video, by the way.

  5. Meghan, thanks for sharing this information regarding Dfilm.com. I thought you did a great job promoting it with your commercial, your text clips were very informative and illustrated the demonstration well. This program reminds me of GoAnimate.com, except that there are more varied template and character choices. GoAnimate is more traditional and doesn't contain the same level of imagination. They mostly stick to the human element. I love how the characters here can have more depth and there can be more complexity to the story. I couldn't tell: do the characters actually speak with audio or just the text bubbles? I know GoAnimate uses a computer generated voice, and I was just wondering if Dfilm sounded similarly. Overall, great job I can't wait to explore this more and add it to my character animation/storyboard drawing unit! Oh, and I love the movie poster project paired with this: technology + hands-on activity!
